Hanni El Khatib

The two came to meet when Hanni bought one of Nick's paintings.  After coming to collect the artwork, Hanni commissioned Nick to create a guitar strap for his upcoming tour, and gave Nick full reign on design.  A sleek and sexy guitar named "TEX" looked like a cool Cadillac with strings to Nick.  The body black, slick and simple.  Mother of pearl inlays along the neck, and brassy accents gilding the tuning pegs, bridge and pickups.  Nick wanted the band to work with guitar, engendering his use of raw, tanned cowhide.  Tooled with a floral motif, then dyed black and lined with deerskin.  Final touches were color contrasts of heavy, hand-carved, silver hardware, displaying Hanni's initials and engravings.
